Prega News’s Women’s Day ad very effortlessly makes both, career-oriented women and homemaker mothers, look like absolute jerks all at once. Takes special talent to achieve this so seamlessly. 👏🏽

Cannot wait for day after tomorrow when brands will go back to ‘empowering’ women with cooking oils and washing powders to sell to other women.

What would happen, I wonder, if an Arab journalist, or even Jeremy himself in his capacity as BBC Middle East editor, had uncritically tweeted something like this from say, I dunno, Iraq? Gaza? Syria? Afghanistan?

The alacrity with which offices are being filled to 100% capacity shows how instead of adapting to a real future of remote work (despite having 2 years to prepare) a lot of businesses have just been waiting to bring everyone back to work at the first opportunity.

This is so true. Managers with Draconian ideas of efficiency, and next to zero skills for new-age technology that aids remote working, are usually the ones panning work from home. The mindset needs to change; bringing everyone back to office immediately isn’t the answer.

Wanna know the REAL roadblock to young people's careers? The biases of bad bosses. And to make matters worse, The Journal acts as if it's a foregone conclusion that remote workers get left out. This will only inspire managers and supervisors to do it. ez.substack.com/p/manufacturin

Meanwhile, some of my friends and followers have been reporting this person for hate speech and bullying, and of course doesn’t find anything offensive with the posts ‘at this time’. They haven’t even bothered getting back to me yet.

And meanwhile, a lot of students still languish in Ukraine. And therein lies the irony. That a shared post critical about the rescue operation in Ukraine has made a paid troll wonder why I’m so ‘anti-India’ all the time. Jawaab tumne khud de diya!

This is my first brush with a troll (have I arrived now that I’ve been called a ‘libtard’?) it’s amazing how many resources the IT cell spends on trying to bully people who post anti-religious memes or content that questions the government.

This person has a Catholic-sounding name. And after trying to hurl poorly punctuated insults at me (including how my mother must feel about giving birth to a disaster like me and how my ‘actual’ father is a Jihadi) they asked me why all my posts are ‘anti-Hindu and anti-India’.

I haven’t hailed too many autos off the street, but I haven’t come across a single auto driver off an app who’s cancelled because of my destination, asked me to pay in cash or made stops to refuel. Better option when you’ve somewhere to be quickly. How the turns have tabled!

And now with the cabbies’ constant cancellations, demands for cash payments, badly maintained cars, and the resultant missed flights and late meetings, somehow taking autos is more reliable and quicker?

It’s amusing how we’ve come full circle with cab aggregator services. When Olas/Ubers we’re introduced, we heaved a collective sigh of relief at not having to negotiate with auto/kaali peeli drivers and their whims. Some of us privileged were ok to pay the extra money.

As someone born & raised in Odessa for roughly 1/3 of my life, who spent the other 2/3 in America, I know that most people don’t know much about Ukraine - which I get, I have many blind spots, so I thought I’d tweet some little basic things in case it helps make it real 🧵

The Coinbase CEO wrote a long thread discussing how their super bowl commercial came about and suggesting there are lessons in being non-traditional and not listening to ad agencies. But then he gets called out lol.
