    Truly astounding that IAB Europe seem to believe no actor using the TCF for real-time bidding, anywhere in the EU, can be challenged by another EU DPA while IAB *nationally* appeals in BE. as all are somehow compromised by the GDPR consistency mechanism.

    and if you're not lucky to be on an unlimited broadband deal .. and pay per MB etc .. then think of 3.66GB Bandwidth saved ... imagine in countries where mobile is the key means by which you access the web ... that's a lot of money saved

    Switching to Nightly version of as my default from the stable version (to test new features). Over the past 4 months, Stable = 134,092 Trackers & ads blocked; 3.66GB Bandwidth saved; 1.9hours saved Let's see what Nightly does from the current 1,386 Trackers & ads blocked

    Now, taking into account Google’s statement of “0 requests in 15 years” one could ask: what is the likelihood that the NSA will request from Google cookie-data (potentially also subject to strong technical measures such as IP-Anonymisation) of French websites such a Sephora? 3/n

    Let’s see whether will discuss risk-based approach (DSB didn’t). By the way: what’s the likelihood of 🇺🇸 Gov requesting from Google cookie data re/ Sephora website? I guess Google will say “0” again? Or there is a risk NSA might wish to “collect it all” re/ beauty creams?🤔

    So why are privacy regulators around the world NOT scrutinising SS7 and the security, privacy and broader human rights risks it presents? especially when considering services such as v action on GA & IP addresses

    On SS7 risks, the writes "One important factor to mention is that in most of the cases the subscriber cannot do too much in order to protect themselves from these risks .. Most of the security work has to be done at the providers’ level." So, this 👆 is

    If we're going to talk risks to individuals, SS7 risks are far more worrying than GA. The EU's Network & Information Security Agency recognises the risks & admits it's "highly improbable that operators" will address em cos SS7 = business enabler

    provide services connecting approx 5.5 BILLION mobile users across the globe. GA is low hanging fruit. I ain't no Google fan, but I'd still like to see analysis of the risks in reality compared to the evident risks presented by SS7, for example

    The weaknesses in SS7 have been known for many many years. It's a human rights issue. So what is the going to do ? It's way past time for action

    while EU data protection regulators begin to prevent the use of Google Analytics, cos IP addresses sent to the USA, I have yet to see one EU DPA act wrt tp the global human rights scandal that is the weakness of the mobile industry SS7 infrastructure & services, that is used
