So this is interesting. So far this @admonsters webinar has been centered on educating non-browser-engineering-geeks how changes are made to Chrome.pic.twitter.com/yzLxAeVdL7

So 'Relevance' is the one I'm least bullish on. The other three make plenty of sense. The last two are no-brainers.pic.twitter.com/Dg2SJ5VXry

Barb Smith explaining how to justify your use-case to W3C / Chrome. Per @pbannist seems like more marketers (the big ones I suppose) ought to be proactively bringing their use-cases before they get left behind!pic.twitter.com/uHvva77TZ0

Barb talking about timing... "It's impossible to predict exactly when things will be available for testing and integration." (which makes sense given the complexity of what's going on)pic.twitter.com/YWhWDV6ofv

Given the lack of predictability on timing, Barb's takeaway is to FOLLOW THE PROCESS CLOSELY.

This webinar feels a bit desperate - Chrome team wanted a lot of engagement in the W3C and that isn't happening. They're hoping this drives some more engagement, but I'm very skeptical

Agree. Mark and Barb's presentation did not reflect reality. So many questions around GDPR, impact of CMA regulator recommendations, W3C process not being followed, and Google not listening to feedback. Here's link explaining W3C issues in more detail. https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-web-adv/2020Jul/0016.html …
