Real-time bidding (RTB) setup

To participate as a real-time bidder in Ad Exchange, you need to:
Build your buyerA company that pays a demand partner to purchase ad inventory on OpenX Ad Exchange. application. See Real-time bidding APIs for specifications.
Ensure that your account is configured for real-time bidding, and set real-time bidding-specific settings for it.
An administrator must configure your account to support real-time bidding; otherwise, Ad Exchange will not consider your account for bid requests.
You must then set the following real-time bidding preferences for your account on the My Account tab (you will not see this tab unless your account is configured for real-time bidding):
RTBReal-time bidding, auctioning online inventory within an ad exchange. Buyers bid for the impression based on the value of the user, whereas the seller sets pricing floors and awards the impression to the highest bidder. The auction process takes place in milliseconds, which is why the process is referred to as “real-time.” interface. The implementation you will be using to integrate with Ad Exchange. Select OpenRTB (recommended) or proprietary.
Real-time bid URL. The URL to which you want Ad Exchange to send bid requests. You can specify multiple URLs for different global regions, including U.S. East, U.S. West, Europe, and Japan. This reduces latency as Ad Exchange sends the bid request to the URL closest to the location of the original ad requestCommunication from a web browser or app to an ad server to display an ad.
Real-time bid result notification URL. The URL to which you want Ad Exchange to send bid result notifications (e.g., win/loss notifications). You can specify region-specific URLs as you do for the Real-time Bid URL setting
RTB data URL template. The URL template you can use for mapping user data that Ad Exchange stores for you
Cookie-mapping URL Template. The URL you can use for mapping user data that you store
Default Deal ID Line ItemThe primary unit of execution for an OpenX order, which represents a specific inventory purchase and the required conditions for ad delivery.. If private marketplace (PMPPrivate marketplace, the packaging, offering, and selling of high quality inventory to a limited set of buyers.) is enabled for your account, enter the name of an SSRTB line item in the Deal ID Line Item field.
Create at least one line item for real-time bidding.
For each real-time bidding line item, you must specify the following settings:
Name. The name of the line item
Bid Type. The type of bid for this line item; for real-time bidding line items, choose SSRTB
Budget. The amount of money to spend for the line item per day or in total
Budget Spend Rate. Choose to spend the budget as quickly as possible (either daily or in total) or evenly (per day or in total)
All other line item settings are optional.
You must implement clickurl or clickurl_enc macros in your ad tags so that OpenX can accurately track clicks and maintain the quality of inventoryAd space available on a website or app. The basic unit of inventory for OpenX is an ad unit. in the Ad Exchange.
Tip: If you need to limit the number of bid requests, work with your account manager to identify specific categories to target. Currently, this is the only method to limit queries per second (QPS).
